This Band is So Gorgeous- Screening

This Band is So Gorgeous- Screening

For one night only our special guest, film maker Dunstan Bruce (formerly of Chumbawamba), personally introduces a screening of his documentary about punk legends Sham 69 touring China;
"Ray Yao is the 'best organiser of the China for punk rock bands!' and Sham 69 are a bunch of middle-aged punks, the first British punk band to ever tour China. A 14 day slog across the length of breadth of China was a mind-blowing, intriguing, dumbfounding experience. Here was a country in the process of rebuilding and reinventing itself and here was a group at war with themselves and here was a developing passionate Chinese punk scene within a country in massive flux. And then there was Ray: the enthusiastic but inexperienced tour manager, the inept yet completely lovable tour manager who let confusion reign. We went to make a 'punkrockumentary'; we came back with more, much more... "
